A.L.F. is formed of fine wire shaped for each patient individually, mounted on liquid composite from the palatal side. A.L.F. impacts not only the jaw bones but also the muscles and bones of the face. As a result, apart from the expansion of jaws and getting room for all the teeth, a patient benefits from better mood, reduction of facial asymmetry, masseter muscle relaxation, reduction of abnormal postural muscle tension as well as extension of the upper respiratory tract.
A.L.F. is invisible and does not impede oral hygiene.
As each palatal device, it requires 2-7 days of adaptation (mild toothache), somewhat hindering speaking and eating at the time.
