Children are an exceptional group of patients. They require care, patience and sensitivity on the part of the dentist.
The very first visit to the dentist should take place when the toddler starts teething, i.e. between 6 and 12 months of age. This visit is aimed at: checking the toddler’s oral health, instruction in the field of diet and dental hygiene and prevention of occlusion defects. Such visits should be repeated every 3 to 6 months. Thanks to this a child learns to treat the visits as a routine check-up and familiarizes himself with both the doctor and the dental office.
At Triclinium we do our best to create a friendly atmosphere to gain the trust of our small patients. Therefore, we encourage parents not to postpone visiting the dentist until it becomes absolutely necessary. We invite you to try out our adaptation check-ups when a child can get used to the dental office, get to know our staff, see and touch some of the equipment, and learn how to clean their teeth and maintain correct habits. The success of treatment depends very much on good cooperation between the doctor, parent and child.
