What is the MRT test?
Mediator Release Test is an innovative method of detecting food hypersensitivity by determining the degree of white blood cell response to specific foods.
What you eat is antigenic to your body -that’s why your immune system is “interested” in your diet. If there are no complaints, it means the body’s reaction is non-aggressive, i.e. food tolerance is there. However, when health problems arise, we are dealing with an excessive defensive (= inflammatory) response on the part of our immune system. In such situations, the cells of the immune system release inflammatory mediators, chronic inflammation increases and pain attacks occur, the basis of which is difficult to diagnose. The solution is an MRT test performed by flow cytometry combined with the improved Coulter method. The high effectiveness of the MRT test was confirmed by the results of the oral challenge test, skin tests and the elimination diet.
What is food hypersensitivity?
Food hypersensitivity, aka delayed hypersensitivity reaction or Delayed Type Hypersensitivity (DTH) to diet ingredients may trigger various chronic ailments (e.g. bronchial asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, reflux, migraines and other headaches, weight fluctuations, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, skin eruptions, atopic dermatitis, autism, ADHD). The model allergic reaction occurs with the sole participation of type E immunoglobulins (among the immune system’s antibodies) and with the release of damaged histamine or histamine-like substances. We talk about food hypersensitivity when a given food ingredient excessively stimulates the defense of the immune system cells and inflammation mediators are released boosting chronic inflammation of the intestines, other organs and various tissues. This happens when you are hypersensitive to some ingredient of the consumed product. If you eat very little, symptoms may not appear at all, because their severity depends on the dose.
Your body most often reacts excessively to more than one food ingredient, and the symptoms usually appear a few hours or even days after ingestion and can be inconsistent. Above all, an individually tailored, good diet is the key to your health and well-being.
Immune system cells (white blood cells in the circulating blood), activated by molecules of intolerant food, produce and release cytokines and other mediators used to communicate between individual cells and trigger specific reactions starting the inflammatory process. To date, thousands of different mediators have been discovered, which makes search for the “culprit” pointless and very expensive. However, a simpler and cheaper method of detecting the level of released mediators was found. It has been discovered that white blood cells have the ability to change their volume upon contact with an antigen. They release mediators depending on the severity of the pro-inflammatory reaction. The development of a method for objective measurement of volume changes has contributed to the creation of the MRT test. This test will determine your degree of sensitivity to foods and food additives and will eliminate the most reactive products from your diet.
List of foods and chemicals
Chemical food additives, substances naturally contained in foods, medicines:
Thanks to the results of the MRT test, we have the ability not only to alleviate the symptoms of food hypersensitivity, but above all -to eliminate their causes. Years of observation have helped to create a method tailored to the specifics of these reactions. Extremely often, there are delayed hypersensitivity reactions and it is difficult to independently detect the source of the problem and apply prevention. Find out how your body reacts to each of the 170 foods and food additives. The MRT test is the only diagnostic method containing a quantitative component that allows determining the intensity of leukocyte response to a given food.
The result created -the “LEAP Program Report” also includes a Diet Management Plan covering three activities:
A small blood sample means big changes. The test results will be discussed with you. Our specialist, MA Magdalena Najbar, will present their interpretation. You will learn what to eat and how to avoid new hypersensitivity. By following the recommendations you have a good chance that over time some of the currently intolerable delicacies will be able to “return” your diet.
Using the LEAP Program will allow you to free yourself from ailments that once seemed to be an inseparable part of your life. In addition, you will besatisfied with your figure and appearance. Thousands of people in the US and Europe have trusted the effectiveness of this method. Join them.
