Every woman dreams of beautiful and full lips. Unfortunately, with age the skin around the lips slackens and lips lose their volume. The purpose of a well-done lip modeling procedure should not be merely their augmentation, but giving the lips the right proportions: adequate to the rest of the face, leveling out visible asymmetry.
As part of the lip modeling procedure, we can:
Let’s remember that small and narrow lips will never become large and prominent overnight. At Triclinium we adhere to the principle that it is better to inject less hyaluronic acid during the first treatment and, if necessary, add a filler a few days later, rather than risk an unnatural appearance.
Lip modeling can also be done with biostimulators and one’s own adipose tissue. However, when using a biostimulator, it is not possible to reverse the filling effect. In the case of injecting your own fat tissue, we can’t be sure to what extent it will be ultimately absorbed and arranged under the skin (thus it is difficult to obtain a precise and perfect aesthetic effect). Therefore, in Triclinium we use the above methods quite rarely, in very special cases and in well informed patients.
The quality of the hyaluronic acid used for the treatment is also critical. The health and safety of patients depend on whether the preparation has the appropriate certificates and comes from a proven source. More and more often we admit patients at our clinic asking for help following a defective procedure resulting in allergic reactions or inflammations caused by poor-quality preparation, incorrect patient qualification/diagnosis or the lack of skills in performing the treatment.
