The most common method of removing periorbital dark circles (under eye shadows) is by hyaluronic acid filling. In most cases, however, this is not the best therapy. Although the treatment does give rapid results, they are fairly short and very often may worsen the problem. Swelling and other side effects can also occur. Moreover, hyaluronic acid may act on the “valley of tears”, but in the case of under eye shadows resulting from vessels translucent from under the thin skin –not so much.
How we treat under eye shadows at Triclinium
There are much better methods whose effects are more natural and long-lasting. Therefore under eye shadow treatments used at Triclinium focus mainly on regeneration. These are more beneficial for patients because :
- they soften and thicken the skin,
- they rebuild tissue deficiencies under the eyes, eliminating the collapse and the formation of the “basin” effect;
- the effect is natural,
- there is no risk of side effects (e.g. shifting of the injected substance).
- there are no oppressing implants => no swellings and or swollen eye effect,
- results are long lasting (up to two years).
At Triclinium we treat periorbital dark circles with a trademark “Bright Circle” therapy combining two methods of regeneration: microneedle fractional RF and ablative laser. The treatment includes 3-5 treatments at monthly intervals.
Microneedle RF constitutes the majority of the treatment, one or two sessions employ an ablative laser, which helps rejuvenate, brighten and refresh the skin.
Bright Circle therapy combines the two treatments because the microneedle RF acts strongly, deeply and locally, thickening and toning the skin whereas ablative laser exfoliates and brightens it. That is why the combined action of both methods gives the best results.
However, the method does not work immediately. After a series of treatments one needs to wait at least a few months (six months to one year) for the results, which is exactly how long the natural process of tissue regeneration and reconstruction takes.
