Fractional microneedle radiofrequency is one of the most modern therapeutic methods in aesthetic medicine. Our clinic was the first one in Poland to introduce it and has the largest experience with it both in Poland and world-wide. We have performed over 5000 treatments for various aesthetic indications. Dr. Marek Wasiluk has worked with various RF microneedle devices for over 6 years, and as a result, has developed his own proprietary therapeutic methods and treatment protocols which proved highly effective.
Pulse microneedle radiofrequency Sylfirm also uses fractional RF microneedle technology, but with completely different current flow parameters, applied to correct other problems. Pulse RF micro-needle treatments involve simultaneous micro-puncturing and heating of the skin by means of an electrical current with unique intensity and frequency (parameters protected by a patent). The device head is terminated with a disposable, sterile pad equipped with dozens of microneedles, which after insertion into the skin bring about 2 effects: light heating and repeated depolarization of cellular electric charges. This way, we subject the skin to 3 mechanisms: mechanical (pricking), thermal (heating) and electrostatic (depolarization).
Pulse microneedle radiofrequency repairs a damaged skin-epidermal junction, i.e. the physiological boundary between the dermis and the epidermis, which is strongly weakened in aging process triggering the formation of discolorations or erythema disorders. That is why pulsed RF microneedle is particularly effective in removing difficult discolorations and erythema. Importantly, its action is not to remove the excessive pigment or erythema, but to stimulate skin regeneration processes, which in turn get rid of the above-mentioned defects. In addition, pulsed RF microneedle affects stem cells found in the skin, giving the effect of skin rejuvenation.
The effects of pulsed micro-needle radiofrequency

* breastfeeding, menstruation or shallow vascularized skin ARE NOT contraindications for the procedure
Frequency and number of treatments
The frequency and number of treatments depends on the type of skin, the severity and type of the problem to be corrected and the expected effects by the patient and is agreed with a specialist at a consultation. Most often, a series of several treatments is performed.
Advantages of the procedure
- less invasive method than laser therapy and regular RF microneedle
- method based on the natural stimulation of skin physiological processes
- no age restrictions
- safe method if performed by an experienced specialist
- short recovery period
Pre-treatment recommendations
- refrain from treatments which may cause skin irritation in the treatment area (e.g. lasers)
Post-treatment recommendations
- up to 7 days after the procedure avoid bathing in highly chlorinated water and using sauna
- do not tan your skin / use the solarium at least 30 days after the procedure
- use sunscreens (SPF30, SPF50 +)
- after the treatment apply recommended preparations to ensure proper skin regeneration and to maximize effects
- avoid strenuous exercise for a week afterwards
Expected postoperative symptoms
- skin redness
- temporary skin sensitivity (to wind, temperature change)
- tingling, burning, itching
- edema
- temporal difference in skin pigmentation (between the treated and untreated area)
- temporary discoloration
Undesirable postoperative symptoms
- scars (very rare)
- skin infections
- permanent discoloration (very rare)
Supplementary treatments
- Q-switch type laser
- IPL
- fractional ablation laser
- platelet rich plasma
- fractional RF microneedle
Duration of the procedure
- min 45 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area; anesthesia (about 30-45 minutes) should be added to the procedure time
